Check out the first official music video by local rockers Visibly Shaken, for their song They’re No Different!
From their site: “The 1st Official Visibly Shaken Music Video is here! Directed by Don Lane and Produced by Evan Phillips, this outstanding video features Visibly Shaken’s song They’re No Different. The band consists of Luke Broadbent and Tristan Rucynski, both leading guitarists and vocals, Noa Castleton on drums, and Evan Phillips on Bass.
The idea behind the song is that the homeless are no different than we are. Written after a mission trip to Skidrow, CA, Luke Broadbent wanted to convey all of his emotions in this powerfully scripted piece. Directed and Produced in Maui. Thanks to Marcus, Alana Rucynski, Yuki Sugimura, MauiThing and Requests we couldn’t have done it without you! Thanks also to Trish “da Dish” Smith, Chad Kaya, Gerit Williams, Jasn Basn, all that were in the video and to all the families and friends who have helped us out enormously, we thank you so much! We are very proud of this video and hope you will be too! Enjoy!”
Because we’re on the cutting edge and always hip to what the kids are digging we have now (sort of forcefully) joined Google+… Whatever that means. The part of this we do understand is that we also just completed our very own Google Virtual Tour. So, if you miss us or have just want to take a look around our shop, simply go to our Google+ page and click the window that says “SEE INSIDE” for a 360 view of the store. You can even go down our stairs and view our record room! Check it out. Let us know what you think and leave us a review, if you feel so inclined.
I’d like to send a huge mahalo to BEATS by DRE for getting in on the Record Store Day action by providing us with a brand new pair of their Studio headphones for our listening station. It was an extremely generous gift and we’re very thankful to have your support. Everyone was loving it!
Our Record Store Day celebration was already shaping up to be awesome. Then, yesterday afternoon, I got a surprise text. It was Steve, guitar player and vocalist for suddenly disbanded Maui hardcore band Order of the White Rose. He informed me that Noah, lead singer and bassist, had paid Maui surprise visit and Steve offered to reunite the band for a special RSD performance. How could I say no?! So, through the help of our ohana, we’ve assembled the needed equipment and are ready to rock hard this Saturday. Also added to the lineup is our very own Selecta Boomshot and new local punk band The Minorities.
Here’s our official Record Store Day flyer; a nod to a painting on one of our windows of the infamous Blind Faith album cover, with a Hawaiian twist. Very excited for all of our performers and hope to add more on as the day approaches.
The official Record Store Day items list has been made public and we wanted to make sure you got a chance to look at all the goodies. I ordered as much as possible. It’s now just a matter of seeing what we luck out on getting this year. I also made a teaser flyer to go along with this news. If you’re a fellow store or RSD supporter please feel free to share the picture with all your friends, as well. Mark your calendars!
